Indian Devil’z Tattooz Expands Footprint to Europe with Luxembourg Studio

The global tattoo industry has traditionally seen a westward-to-eastward flow of influence, with European and American trends often shaping the market in Asia. However, Lokesh Verma, founder of the New Delhi-based Devil’z Tattooz, is taking a different approach by establishing a permanent studio in Western Europe. After two decades of operating in India, Verma has officially opened a flagship studio in Luxembourg. Situated on the Boulevard de la Pétrusse, the new facility represents a departure from the common "guest artist" model, where Indian tattooists typically travel abroad for short-term stints rather than setting up permanent infrastructure. For the brand, the expansion into Luxembourg is a strategic move to enter the European market directly. While Verma is an established figure in the Indian industry—known for his work in colour realism and for holding a Guinness World Record—entering the EU required adapting to a different set of regulatory and operational standards. "The goal was not just to visit Europe, but to have a consistent presence in its artistic community," Verma notes. "Luxembourg is a central location, but it is also a market that demands strict adherence to professional and hygiene standards. We wanted to integrate into that ecosystem rather than just passing through." The studio operates as a full-service hub, offering the same realism style that the brand focuses on in India. By establishing a physical location in Luxembourg, the company is testing the viability of Indian creative businesses scaling into high-compliance European markets. This move marks a significant milestone for the company, which started in the early 2000s when the Indian tattoo sector was largely unorganized. Now, with a functional studio in Luxembourg, the brand has transitioned from a local operator to an international entity.
